January Mosaic Class

Beautiful tray created by Chardell during our January mosaic class.  She did a wonderful job!!

I do apologize for not having pictures of the rest of the creations....I was so wrapped up in visiting that I didn't get them taken.  Believe me, they were also beautiful.

First Blogger at Junk Divas

Junk Divas announces that our very first blogger at our new site is......Jessica Allred!!! 

Thank you so much Jessica for signing up on our blog site and thanks to everyone else that has joined in.  I hope we can create a great community of friends on our blog, sharing decorating ideas, pictures, and whatever suites our fancy.  I promise I will learn and only improve at my blogging skills (I hope!!).

Marvelous Monday

Had more fun at this "junk" store...the guys that own and run it were so nice and just let us rummage around forever.  We found some hidden treasures too. 

I asked the owner if I could take a picture of his shop so I could post on my blog and he said of course...then I asked the 3 guys if they would be in the picture.  They all said "no" and ran inside.  Hmmmmm....camera shy I guess.  Oh well, it was fun.

Junkin'

Found this "junk" shop and yes, we found some treasures. The guys in the shop were so friendly and helpful.  I think they got a kick out of getting excited about so many things.

 Then when we were leaving, a lady came out of the store next door and said if we wanted to look at her junk, to come on in....of course we did and we found a few more treasures.  It was great fun and I think we made some friends in the process. 

Almost everything we bought will be up at the store this coming weekend. 

Visiting in Tyler

I came to Tyler today to visit my wonderful daughter and her husband....my wonderful son-in-law.  They always take me somewhere good to eat.  Tonight we ate at a mom and pop Italian resturant, Bruno's.  Yum....it was delicious. 

My daughter has spied a few new places for us to visit and do some "junking"!!!  A few antique stores, a couple consignment shops, one very interesting 'junk' shop and even a record shop (some of you remember records!!).  Can't wait to get going in the morning.  Hopefully tomorrow evening I will post pictures of our adventures and our "finds".  Good night all....Julie

January 2011 Mosiac Class

We had our first class of 2011.  We had a great group of ladies for our first mosaic class of 2011.  They are so creative!!  I can not wait to post some of their pieces.  I will post them next week after our last class.  The ladies are so fun....we laughed...got to know some new friends and re-connected with old friends....it was a great evening. 

Mosaic Class 2011

We are excited about our first Mosaic Class of 2011.  It will be January 18th and 25th at the Junk Diva shop.  We already have a full class so we are in the works planning one for February.  Watch for posts announcing dates and times.  

The Junk Divas are NEW Bloggers!!

This is our first attempt at blogging and we are so excited.  However, please be patient with us as we learn to do this.  Our goal is to communicate to everyone who is excited and passionate about finding treasures or "junk", to share with you new and exciting things going on at Junk Divas and to show you the 'treasures' that we have in our shop.  We will post pictures and prices of our items, ship items to you and if you live close by, we will be glad to meet you and get it to you that way.
