What kind of bedroom do you like?

I am plagued at times, most of the time, by bouts of insomnia.....

I so desire to have a wonderful, peaceful, continuous night sleep but it eludes me.

Here are some gorgeous bedrooms to DREAM about....

Layering mirrors on a wall for a focal point....

This was actually taken in a 'store' but the idea was just too great to not take a snapshot.

Start looking for those mirrors that you love.  This would be great in a living room, bedroom,

just about anywhere!!

Take on old mantel or top part of an old buffet...

We found this great piece and it has a place where a mirror probably once was....

We have a very old mirror in front of the opening but having a mirror

cut and inserted would be awesome too.

This would be so great as a headboard...

...the mirror in your bathroom....

It was great doing some "reflecting" about some great mirrors!! haha....

What are your Easter Plans?

Easter Time!!

Wouldn't this be so much fun to do for your
Easter feast with family and friends?

I am thinking of just doing the desserts this way.  After the egg hunt (if our older children will do it!),  we could sit outside and enjoy the day and have a beautiful table to serve from.

My wonderful, handy-man, husband makes these
gorgeous wooden tables from old barn wood, wood from old homes being torn down, and old wood from anywhere we can get it.


Hmmmm....I am going to have to get him busy!!

Outdoor Decorating...

How wonderful does this look? 

I have one black metal cot so I am now

going to be on the look-out for a matching cot

or 2 new ones.

It is so windy at our place not sure how practical

it will be, but who makes decisions on such

cute things based on being practical all the time??!!

Great Time!

PRoJecT TiME...

My husband is an electrician by trade.  So, as you can imagine our shops and barns have their fair share of electrical 'stuff' all around.  I can't complain though...because of my husband, Junk Divas has every chandelier ever found checked out and in tip top shape.  Anything that needs wiring, corded, restored or electrified...my husband does it for us.  We are soooo lucky!!

Having said all that....as you can see from the pictures, I have some medium-sized (and rather large wooden spools) that the 'big' wire comes on.  The 'Junker' in me cannot get rid of these things since they make great tables for outside.  They are wooden, but it will take awhile for them to break down due to weather and such.  And as of yet, we have not had any winds that were able to blow them away....

So....ProJEct TiME!!!
I want to turn this one wooden spool into a great patio type table.  I already have a round piece of glass that I could put on the top...hmmmm.....think I'll do some painting and maybe some stenciling....

The ideas are abounding!! haha!  I am still teaching school (since we do not get out until the first of June) so my time is limited on these types of things but I am determined to turn this into a patio table that I will love.  Seems like I have such a hard time finding exactly what I want for what I want to pay!!
A true frugal Junker!!

Vintage Bicycle Accessories...

I've got the bike!!!

I NEED a wicker basket for the front handlebars....this one is too cute!!

I have some sunglasses but maybe I need some the same color as my bike!!

I think this may be MY 'mid-life crisis' or 'empty nest obsession'...haha!!

New Items....

Wow....look what we found!!

This is such a great Pepsi Box. We are in the process of cleaning and 'tweak'-ing this baby and when we are done we will have it up at the shop.

What is so wonderful is that it actually WORKS!!

There is a cover that goes over the open area at the bottom and when it is on...it looks sweet!!

I will post pictures after it's finished and at the shop.  Come by and take a look...
