Vintage Bicycles....

Anyone interested in Vintage Bicycles?
 

I bought a very (very) moderate priced reproduction vintage bicycle not too long ago 
and I just love it. 

I haven't been riding it much lately due to the incredible heat.  I hope to do more soon....

I have a small wish list for my vintage bicycle.
Here it is.. 

Vintage Bicycle Wish List:

1.  Wicker basket for the front
(and line it in some really cute, retro fabric)

2.  A bicycle bell to put on my handlebar

3.  A book rack to put over the back tire

That's it for now....I will probably think of more as I look around.

"Catching Up"

Sorry that I have not posted in a few days.  It's just been CRAZY busy around here. 

And CRAZY hot.  The heat really keeps me from Diva painting, fixing, and doing all that outside stuff I do.

So ready for some rain!!

Here are a few things that we have recently brought into the shop.

Great farmhouse table.
Would look so good in a kitchen or breakfast nook.
It would also be a great desk.



Great "RETRO" chair.
Upholstery is in good condition
but wouldn't it look great with some new
"WOW" kind of  fabric??

Great pale yellow kitchen cupboard.
This is not actually at the shop....replacing a broken glass pane.
I have been keeping my handman hubby busy these past few days.
It will be in the shop soon.

Several new "OLD" mirrors!!
Some old dressers to follow soon also.

Diva-made "LOVE" sign.
I thought it would be a great headboard
but just as a sign is great too!!

I am just calling this our "Happy" chair.
We painted chalkboard paint on the slats (Front and back)
so you can write any message that you desire.
Could be FUN....

We repainted and recovered this little stool.
Toooo cute!!

The picture is not very good....
but this is a FuN chair.
It's been glammed up and it is very comfy.

Mosiac Class

Junk Divas will be having a MoSaiC Class
on July 25th and 26th starting at 5:30 pm.
Classes usually last about 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

If you are interested, let me know and I can get you all the information.

We have such a good time learning how to mosaic
and of course "breaking" dishes!!

New Projects and Finished Projects...



Found this cute rocker and decided to paint it gray.
It is almost done with the painting
and
then on to new cusions.

I love it!!
When my sister and I were in NEW YORK CITY, at
Anthropologie, we spied some mosaiced letters.
They were beautiful.
My sister bought her the letters E, A, T
and they look great in her kitchen.

I bought something different but have always wanted some in my kitchen.
Now, I do!!

These numbers are old metal gas sign numbers.
(Did I tell you that I have a thing for NUMBERS??  I DO!)

Well, my handy husband cut a board exactly the right size
and then I screwed them in with the holes that were already there.
How Easy was That!!

I am in the process of remodeling my kitchen
and I think they will look great in there.
We shall see.....Julie

Movies All Around...

Movies In the Park

Movies in the Park is having a TOY DRIVE this next week.

Please bring a NEW, unwrapped toy

and enjoy watching the movie Toy Story.

The YWCA is co-sponsoring Toys for Tots and is getting an early start.

Kids who bring a toy will get a prize for helping to make another child's

Christmas and/or birthday a good one!!

AND

Movies on the Wall

Deport, Texas

Deport is showing all the Harry Potter movies, leading up to the big new release!

They are showing the movie downtown on the wall near the post office.

Movie begins at 9:30 pm.

Admission is free.

You are welcome to bring your own snacks but there will be popcorn and drinks available for a donation.

Swirlz Girlz is taking cupcakes tonight....YUM!!

Proceeds from donations will benefit Project Deport!

Now to show you how I want to have movies outside this fall.

Trip to Tyler

Went to Tyler on Wednesday to accomplish several things.

The most important part of the day was
seeing my wonderful daughter and
my favorite son-in-law.

I think this would be so cute in a nursery
or a shabby chic living room or bedroom.
It would look great anywhere.

Beautiful fabric and braid
but I love the beaded flower trim.
They are gorgeous!!

I am going to put this on my desk at school.

Make-Over Time...

Going to do a little "Make-Over" on this china cabinet.

I want to paint it and there are several colors running
around in my head. 
Classic or Funky
or somewhere
in between??

So, I am asking for your help. 
What color do you
suggest?

White?
Black?
Deep Red?
Pale Yellow?
Turquoise?
Another Suggestions?

Just let me know and I will see what gets the majority
of the votes.  I will let you know.

We have it currently on a floor lamp base
but thinking of converting it to a hanging light.
