Bargain Hunting

As you know, (or maybe you don't know).... I love a bargain. 

I love finding furniture at a bargain,
       I love finding lamps at a bargain,
              I love finding shoes at a bargain,
                     I love finding accessories at a bargain....
                             really just about anything at a bargain!! 

I think there are a couple reasons why I love to find a bargain.  One, I really like saving money to use somewhere else!  Like putting that saved money in my Travel Fund.  Two, I love the thrill of the hunt.  There is no better feeling than find something great for a fraction of the original price.  Three, money just doesn't grow on trees at our home and I don't use plastic. Well, I should say hardly ever. 

This week I found several bargains.  Bargains for my home, some bargains for my Back to School wardrobe and bargains for my store, Junk Divas.

We Love Lighting....

Special Pickings

In one of my recent "Pickings", I purchased a gorgeous projector.  It is in great condition, with only minimal wear.  The case has the most wear but in great shape.  Projector is great and inside the case there are two original replacement bulbs and the oil that lubricates the projector.  It is awesome....Cost: $85.  I will bring to Paris if interested.

What a great weekend!!  So many of our loyal friends came by to visit and we even got the chance to make several new friendships. We are so grateful!! 

July 15th will be our last day at our downtown Paris shop.  We did not make this decision lightly.  Several things and curcumstances have changed in our individual lives...so we take the next step.   Our plans are to continue Junk Divas, to continue bringing you treasures at affordable prices and to continue having a great time while we do this. 

We are remodeling a shop at Julie's house to set up the Junk Diva shop.  We will post our opening date and schedule when it gets finalized.  We will also continue to post items on Facebook and will be happy to deliver to Paris. We are excited about the change and hope that you will continue to seek us out.

We would like to announce that we will be closing our downtown shop as of July 15. We have loved having a store in downtown Paris for 5 years but we are excited about pursuing a different avenue for our business.  Please watch Facebook for our announcment and new location.  Also, watch for great moving sales coming by July 15th.

Currently all merchandise in our store is at a 25% discount with some items marked down up to a 50% discount. We will also post items on Facebook that we are selling from our storage shop.  We will deliver to Paris.

   Paris Antique Fair - October 12 & 13

Well, if you have been watching our blog, you know that I am just a novice.  This evening I tackled making a header.  It is better than what we had but still needs some "tweeking".  As I have requested before, please be patient with us.

We are going through some changes here at Junk Divas.  I will keep you posted and announce our changes when all has been decided and set in place.  Keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we make these decisions. 

Don't you just love old maps?  I do!  Just something about them that makes me feel good. I currently don't have one hanging in my home but I hope to rememdy that soon.  My only issuse is where to display??  Recently, my son married and I am facing a completely "Empty Nest" situation.  So, what do I do?  I decide to revamp his room.  I am thinking that an Old School Map is just the thing to start off on the process.  I will let you know what takes place.

Oh, yes....so sorry about all the time that has passed since my last post.  I guess life just gets busy (too busy) and some things have to go by the wayside.  I hope to do better!!  Julie
